House in Santanyí with Private Pool and Beautiful Views

Mondrago Duri is located in a quiet and relaxing area at the outskirts of the charming and colourful fishing port of Porto Petro. This superb house is surrounded by almond trees, fig trees and carob trees; an ideal place to enjoy an unforgettable holiday enjoying the quiet of the country yet only a short walk to Porto Petro. Porto Petro offers restaurants, a small supermarket, some boutiques, two small sandy coves and lovely sea front. The Natural Park Mondrago boasts different routes where you can enjoy long walks as well as pretty sandy beaches such as Cala Mondragó or S'Amarador.

Mondrago Duri is a semi-detached house whose original part dates back 300 years. The house has been completely renovated with a wonderful result offering a high standard accommodation including complimentary heating throughout the house and air conditioning in all the bedrooms, all combined with beautiful rustic features such as high ceilings with beams and interiors walls partially covered with dry stone. You will enjoy a very calming and relaxing atmosphere in all rooms; some of them fantastic suites, each with its own individual character.
On the ground floor there is a spacious hall with antique furniture that connects to the open living room with a large corner sofa and a big flat screen TV. From the living room there is access to the back terrace and to the kitchen that is really spacious; it has a spectacular wooden table, a larder and access to the exterior. Close to the kitchen there is also a shower-room and a guest toilet that is accessible for wheelchair-users. This floor boasts a lovely suite with a double bed, access to the exterior, en-suite bathroom with a baht-Jacuzzi and a separate shower. The second is a spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower-room. The upper floor boasts a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two fabulous suites really spacious, each with a double bed, en-suite bathroom with bath-Jacuzzi and separate shower -one has hydro-massage shower and a private sun terrace with beautiful views of the surroundings-. The last is a single bedroom located outside close to the pool, with en-suite shower-room and a lovely covered terrace.

    “Huset er rummeligt og fint.
    Desværre virkede airconditioneringen kun i 2 ud af 6 soveværelser.
    Da ventilationsteknikerne kom var de udemærket klar over hvad der var galt - uden at have været inde i huset. De havde præcis de rigtige reservedele med, som alle sad uden for huset.
    Min tolkning er, at der har været klaget over dette før, men at det er lykkedes at holde lejerne hen med manana.
    Vi kom om lørdagen, og om onsdagen virkede det.
    Og så har det ene soveværelse slet ikke aircon - det mindes jeg ikke at have læst noget om.

    Opvaskemaskinen virkede heller ikke ved ankomst, og det var lidt af en krig at få den repareret.
    Først lørdag (efter 1 uge) og efter et reparationsforsøg fra udenfor huset (jeg ved ikke lige om de regnede med at håndspålæggelse af ledningerne var det der skulle til) og derefter en særdeles ophidset opringning fra mig, blev den skiftet, og den nye virkede perfekt.

    “We really enjoyed staying in this house - very original and very charming. Lots of space even if we are a family of 7 adults and 8 children. Only complaint is that the air conditioning was not operating satifactorily. The local representative tried to fix it twice. It became better but not perfect. Furthermore, the description of how to enter the premises and the house were NOT correct. The keys were in a box at the house, not at the gate. But even then we really enjoyed the stay. Especially the large swimming pool was popular with the children.”

    es freut uns, dass Ihnen der Urlaub so gut gefallen hat. Wir haben den Eigentümer gebeten, die Leuchten zu überprüfen. In Spanien ist es oft so, dass an jeder Raumecke ein Lichtschalter ist und man das Licht dort einschalten muss, wo es ausgeschaltet wurde.”
