The holiday apartment is partly furnished in a rustic style and is located in the side wing of the landlord's house with a separate entrance. There is a neighbouring farm where the owner farms.

Meißendorf is a district of Winsen (Aller) and is one of the most beautiful holiday resorts in the Lüneburg Heath, very close to the old ducal town of Celle. There are over 170 kilometres of well-signposted hiking trails, many sights and well-developed, flat cycle paths through forests, meadows and heathland.

There are many day trip destinations nearby, such as the Museumshof Winsen (Aller), Celle Castle Theatre and the Castle Chapel, Europe's oldest regularly performed baroque theatre, the half-timbered town of Celle, the German Earth Oil Museum Wietze, Serengeti Park Hodenhagen, Walsrode Bird Park, Heide Park Soltau and the Lower Saxony state capital Hanover with Herrenhausen Castle.
