Das Chalet Walker befindet sich auf der Riederalp West zwischen den Liften Riederfurka und Hohfluh. Aus dem Tal gelangt man über die Riederalp-West-Gondel in 10 Minuten bergauf zu Fuss zum Chalet.
Das Chalet liegt direkt an der Piste. Somit kann man am Morgen direkt mit den Ski losfahren und nachmittags auch wieder bis vors Haus fahren.
Im Sommer können Wanderungen und Mountainbiketouren in alle Richtungen gestartet werden. Viele Möglichkeiten stehen zur Auswahl: auf das Riederhorn, zur Hängebrücke, in den Aletschwald oder Richtung Riederalp Zentrum / Bettmeralp / Fiesch.
An der Gondelstation Riederalp-West befindet sich ein Lebensmittelgeschäft (Olympia-Shopping). Dort gibt es morgens frische Brötchen vom Bäcker. Im Dorf hat es ausserdem ein Coop an der Bergstation der grossen Gondel (Riederalp Mitte).
Im Winter kann mit den Skiern eingekauft werden. Liftkarten können am Hohfluh-Lift oder online gekauft werden. An der Bergstation Riederalp West ist ein Sportgeschäft (Aletsch-Sport), wo Ski und Snowboards ausgeliehen werden können.
Die 3-Zimmer Wohnung verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten), einem Wohnzimmer, eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit Eckbank, Glaskeramik und Geschirrspühler, sowie einem modernen Badezimmer mit Dusche. Ein kleiner Aussenraum kann als Reduit benutzt werden
